What is the source of wisdom? Where is its wellspring? And how do we attain it? Here’s God’s answer: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
The level of our love for God and His Word determines if we will be wise or not. We either fear and revere Him or we don’t. We either seek His direction or we don’t.
God is wisdom, and God is knowledge. When we look upward to Him and to His Word, and when we desire Him – His wisdom and His ways – then our lives will bear the rare marks of wisdom. We will act with discretion. We will choose to live life according to the callings and the priorities God sets down for us.
