That you also may know my affairs and
how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and
faithful minister in the Lord,
will make all things known to you;…
that he may comfort your hearts.
Ephesians 6:21-22
Don’t you love it when you receive a “thinking of you” greeting card? I purchased an entire package of these cards to keep on hand for encouraging those I know who are downhearted or suffering in some way.
Even though he was suffering in prison, the apostle Paul wrote an encouraging letter to the believers in Ephesus. He chose to send the note via the hands of a trusted friend, Tychicus, who would take Paul’s personal greetings to the people and update them on how he was doing.
Are you thinking of others today? Even if you’re facing difficult circumstances, you can share your heart with people by focusing on the blessings that come to you from God the Father and your Lord Jesus Christ, including:
Lord, help me to think of others and to share Your love with them so they too can experience the countless blessings You give. May I hold tightly to Your promises and the great gifts of Your peace, love, and grace. Amen.
