Encouragement for Women

Father’s Day gives families the time to thank dads for the many ways they meet our needs. While we can show that appreciation more than one time a year, let us take time to count the many blessings we enjoy because of our husband, and show him blessings in return.

Our devotion to God is strengthened when we offer Him a fresh commitment each day. Every morning, in a simple, genuine prayer, start fresh with God by giving Him all that you are, all that you have: now, forever, and daily. Lay everything on God’s altar in what one saint of old called the “surrendered life.”

It’s always good to see such an awesome, otherworldly, hard-to-define quality like godliness lived out and fleshed out in other women. After all, as the saying instructs us, “One picture is worth a thousand words!” So take a look at Anna. Her story is found in Luke 2:36-38. 

Many people often wonder how God talks with His children. Today, He speaks through what I call “the four Cs” which answer the question, "How does God communicate with us?"

Whether we acknowledge it or not, our homes, our finances, our husbands, our children, our health - and ultimately our lives belong to God.We are the stewards of all those things. We have the privilege and responsibility to answer to God for all He entrusts us with.

This time of year can be so painful for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. If you haven't experienced the depth of such a loss, know what a blessing it truly is and how worthy it is of giving praise to God. This year, experiencing the grief and loss of a spouse will be the reality for so many. 

The woman who is beautiful in God’s eyes, “watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.” (Proverbs 31:27) “So what did you do today?” I can expect this greeting from my sweet husband every day when he arrives home.

You’ve probably experienced managing a household or making a plan. Well, my friend, God is the Master Manager, and He is organizing everything in your life according to His timing. This is a great comfort when managing life's pressures.

How’s your friendship with your beloved? Are you purposefully and willfully making time for fun? Here are several ideas to help kick-start good times again.

Wherever and whenever you and your child are together is God’s opportunity for you to teach your child about Him. So take advantage and be purposeful with the gift of such times.

Eve: from death sprang life; from darkness came light; from the curse came a blessing; from a sentence of death came hope for the future; and from the stinging despair of defeat came the strength of budding faith. Eve was the mother of all living!
